We could never have built PRD into what we are today without the support of our community, and we believe strongly in building up the communities around us in turn. After all, we all get stronger together.
Community Events & Sponsorships
We support a wide variety of events and organizations in Northern BC, but they all bring incredible value to our community. Sometimes these are the less obvious, but still impactful donations like sponsoring kids’ sports teams in Prince George, including the ones for hockey, soccer, and baseball, and sometimes it is sponsoring events and fundraisers that make big swings for change in our community like the BC Cancer Foundation’s research and the Spirit of the North Health Care Foundation.

PG Cougars Fight Cancer
The fight against cancer is close to our hearts at PRD. When the chance to sponsor the Prince George Cougars Fight Cancer initiative came up. There was only going to be one answer. We helped raise over $200K to support cancer research in northern BC.
2025 Indigenous Weekend Jerseys
We worked with the Prince George Cougars Hockey Club and Four Rivers Co-operative to support the 2025 Indigenous Weekend Jerseys. Designed by a local Dakelh fine artist, the jerseys were only part of what made the night special. Special performances by Indigenous groups, Indigenous artists and vendors, a jersey raffle, and more, it was a true celebration of culture that we were proud to be a part of.
Kids’ Sports
Kids are the future of any community, and finding space, time, and money to make sure they stay happy and healthy will always be worthwhile to us. Some of the sports teams we’ve supported over the years include the:
- Prince George Knights Hockey Team,
- Prince George Youth Soccer Association, and
- Prince George Youth Baseball Association.
Salmon Fest
One of the best parts of working with as many Indigenous communities as we do, is the chance to experience their celebrations and try to understand their cultures. Salmon Fest is an event that we sponsor and attend every year in recognition of our long-standing partnership with the Stellat’en First Nation. Learn about our Indigenous Partnerships.
